Frame from Detachment

As far as I understood, this is a movie about a school, its teachers, and its students, and the way in which they all interact with each other.

There is a scene that really struck me. The protagonist is walking in the school backyard and he sees a professor standing, his hands grabbing a wire wall, looking up with his head. The movie already showed us once the same professor in the same place with the same posture but nothing happened in that previous scene. This time however, the protagonist notices the professor and asks "are you alright?" to which the professor responds "you see me? You see me standing here?". The protagonist responds positvely and the professor concludes: "ah god, it's so relentless... thank you".

Perhaps it is a bit far-fetched but I think we have all been in the shoes of that professor at least once...
